About Us

The Table Project CIC is an organisation focussed and dedicated to women in hospitality. We raise awareness of issues women face in the industry and offer real solutions. We bring women together through events and support the community via action.

Our Story

I founded The Table Project CIC in March 2024, after more than 12 years working in the hospitality industry. I’ve experienced the sector at every level, predominantly across the North East, and it’s an industry that has shaped who I am, professionally and personally.

After returning to hospitality following maternity leave, I became acutely aware of something that was missing. Despite hospitality being an industry built on connection, I felt a real lack of community and support, particularly for women. Many of us were navigating demanding roles, changing priorities, and new identities, often without the space or support to share those experiences. I created The Table Project CIC to change that.

The idea is simple: when we come together around a table, meaningful conversations happen. The Table Project exists to create an inclusive, welcoming environment where women in hospitality can connect, be heard, and support one another — regardless of role, background, or stage of life.

My mission is to build a community where women feel seen, valued, and empowered, and where collaboration replaces competition. By strengthening connections and creating safe spaces for honest conversation, I hope to help shape a more supportive and sustainable hospitality industry for the future.

Our Values

At The Table Project CIC, we believe the hospitality industry should be a place where everyone feels welcome, valued, and supported. We are committed to inclusivity and equity, working to remove barriers and create fair opportunities for women and underrepresented groups to thrive.

We know that meaningful change happens when people come together, which is why collaboration sits at the heart of everything we do — building strong relationships with individuals, communities, and businesses to create lasting impact. Through empowerment, we create opportunities for women to build skills, confidence, and leadership within the industry.

We are equally committed to safety and wellbeing, fostering respectful environments that prioritise dignity, support, and care. By amplifying underrepresented voices and sharing real stories, we raise awareness, challenge inequality, and inspire meaningful change across hospitality.

We use the term 'Women' inclusively of all who aim to uplift and support one another in our mission. Our focus for change is focussed on women in the industry but we support everyone passionate for equality.
